USS Students Head for Spain & Portugal in March 2009

This semester, the Canadian & World Studies Department, is pleased to announce that they will be offering another excellent opportunity in education and foreign travel set for March Break 2009 hosted by Explorica. This ten day trip, set for over March Break 2009, features two countries, two capitals: Spain and Portugal, Madrid to Lisbon. This trip will begin in Madrid, include Toledo, and go to Salamanca. From Salamanca, the students will travel to Porto in Portugal, and down the coast line to Lisbon. History, Architecture, and cultural experiences of all forms will dominate this itinerary: castles, cathedrals, art galleries, stunning vistas, and even a Tapas dinner, Fado evening, and a day at the beach. Students are advised to pay attention to the morning announcements for the information meeting that will take place during the second week of February. For parents, there will be an information meeting in the evening at the school shortly after March break. Check the USS Web-site for further details on the exact time and location.
